Republican John McCain and Democrat Barack Obama face off in their final debate on Wednesday, with McCain hoping a strong performance can begin to turn around a White House race that could be slipping away.
Three weeks before the November 4 election, McCain is running out of chances to reverse his slide in national opinion polls and gain ground on a surging Obama.
Neither Candidate for President has bothered to challenge the American Consumer to "Do Anything" - yet - both know that there are patterns of our own behavior exacerbating the liquidity choke of usury markets. Will the last Debate ask,
"Will you challenge American Consumers with specific actions of either sacrifice or benevolence that we may perform acts to assist your Presidency in solving the Economic Woes of our Nation?"
You got a list? Want my list? Ok, here's a smidgen of mine:
#1- Ride our Great-Granddad's Economic Horse = Save 3%of what we bring in each day, week, month, bi-weekly, pay-day/check-day(the Credit Unions are reasonably safe through this muddy stream/ if you're in a so-called safe-bank, ok.) (It is insured!)
#2- Cut-up all but ONE CREDIT CARD, stop paying the minimum on card #3 with card #2, then rotating that the next month by paying the minimum on card #1 with one of your others; In Fact- Stop paying JUST that minimum and pay a third at a time -charge NO MORE and in 3 months it is paid off.
#3- Return to Lay-Away-Christmas (Hanuka)(Feast of First Fruits) (or whatever your pagan celebration that empties pockets, puts you in debt.
#4- Investments?: New Product Invention/Manufacturing USA Land based Companies Only (GE/VESTAS/Boone Pickens/check inet), T-Bills, Savings Bonds, State Bonds (infra-structure projects only), Gold, safe diamonds, FARMS/Products, produce
#5- Energy= you know what to do here, remember adults telling you to close the refrigerator door? Turn that TV off in your room when you go out to play, stop messing with that thermostat... ok, tell your kids the same!
Are we tired of them leaving us out of the equation? Some say we won't vote for the Candidate that tells us to take more responsibility for our savings, our credit. our spending but i say "tell us the truth!"
